By May 2026, I will secure a full-time position as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Shelter, a new role to be developed, by demonstrating strong performance in my internship, expanding my skills in volunteer management, and actively collaborating with leadership to prepare for the transition.
By December 2026, I will increase volunteer retention at the shelter by strengthening volunteer training and engagement initiatives. This goal is achievable through the launch of a structured onboarding and training program designed to better prepare and support volunteers. Success will be measured by increasing the volunteer retention rate from 20% to 60%. This goal is relevant because consistent, well-trained volunteers enhance the quality of animal care and improve adoption outcomes.
